Who was 2011’s Most Eccentric Dressed Females?
“….more eccentric than her alter egos!”
There are no surprises that the Born This Way singer is number 1 when it comes to standing out in the crowd. This year she turned up to the Grammy Awards in an egg, ‘grew’ prosthetic horns to embrace her ‘inner monster’ and performed as a man at the MTV Video Music Awards. We definitely haven’t seen the last of this monster’s more than unusual style!
Nicki’s never one to shy away from the brightly coloured wigs, skyscraper heels and spaceship inspired outfits. With another successful year behind her and outfits more eccentric than her alter egos, Nicki is one female artist who always dares to be different.
Jessie J’s was definitely one of the hottest talents of 2011, and along with her big voice comes an unusual sense of style that only a singer like Jessie could pull off.
Katy may appear to have a huge yellow dice on her head, but the singer sure is brave when it comes to her ensembles. Whether it’s a bright coloured wig or very low neckline, Katy doesn’t seem to pay any mind to her critics.
Helena Bonham Carter
The actress who is best known for her roles in Harry Potter and The King’s Speech definitely knows how to draw attention to herself, especially in this Vivienne Westwood dress and mismatch shoes.
Please note: The mismatch shoes are intentional.
She’s not even a teenager yet but already Willow Smith is being labelled a mini fashion icon. And it’s no wonder as she was seen chatting away with Lady GaGa at the Grammy Awards early this year. The pair was probably swapping tips.
Best known for playing ‘Becky’ in Kidulthood, actress Jaime Winstone, is always pushing the boundaries of fashion. Although she’s never far from the ‘Worst Dressed’ pages of a magazine, you can’t say she doesn’t have a bold sense of style.
So Rihanna hasn’t had a moment out of the public eye since the beginning of 2011, but besides her unique sound, it’s her ever changing style that also defines her. Some of her outfits have been questionable but on the whole she’s had some of the most influential looks since stepping on the music scene.
I don’t think there’s anyone else who could best pull off vintage inspired outfits with a hint of Jessica Rabbit. With her trade mark red locks, Paloma is rarely seen without some sort of hair accessory to add that extra ‘something’ to an outfit.
Kelis has always had an eccentric sense of style and never followed any rules regarding fashion, even before she made a comeback with her dance/pop inspired album, Flesh Tone.
