Mega-brand Apple is about to begin accepting trade-ins of old Blackberry, Windows and Android phones for new iPhones. Their Recycling and Reuse Program launches Monday online and in-store, and will gain credit in the form of a Apple Store gift card or even a bank transfer to those customers who trade in relevant models. Credit can be applied to a massive selection of devices including the iPhone 5c, 6 or 6 Plus, but you ain’t getting the Apple Watch.
Admittedly the official announcement hasn’t come out yet. Journalist Mark Gurman from 9to5Mac noticed the release on an Apple retail store page. This initiative provides customers even less of a reason to run to a chain when looking for their new device!
